About Sara Windom

Passionate and creative Mass Communications & Media Studies graduate from Arizona State University. I am proficient in design software, marketing & PR tactics writing both creatively and journalistically, and I have the ability to create visually appealing graphics and content. My keen eye for capturing captivating visuals is also evident in my passion for illustration and photography. After graduating in May of 2024, I began working as Social Media Manager for the Arizona Photography Alliance, a non-profit organization that brings together photographers, collectors, curators and more. During my time in this role, I have doubled our follower count, increased engagement overall and saw a 59% increase in participation in our Juried Theme Galleries. Additionally, we saw a 17% increase in membership overall, a 100% increase in student membership, and we hosted the largest AZPA Members’ Exhibition in history in 2025. In a personal highlight, my photography was displayed and auctioned for the first time in the art gallery The Mood Room in Phoenix. Additionally, my photography was included in 4 separate Juried Themed Exhibitions from 2024-2025. While continuing to work for the AZPA, I took several contract gigs under my belt, such as my Copywriter position with the Secretary of State, and my time spent as Digital Associate of the Harris for President Coordinated Campaign. Once the campaign was over, I returned to my Music Marketing roots. From 2015 to 2023, I performed in several bands and operated social media channels for all of them. Even my passion for studying Journalism and Media Studies blossomed out of wanting to be a music critic. So naturally, I joined the Crescent Ballroom & Valley Bar Marketing team and began running their social channels, creating video and photographic content, running ads and much more. When the opportunity presented itself to work for virtually the only local music promoter in Arizona, Psyko Steve Presents and their music venue The Rebel Lounge, I had to take it. Currently I work as their Marketing Assistant, running and planning advertisements, operating social media channels, creating email marketing campaigns, and so much more! I currently work at Psyko Steve Presents & Rebel Lounge, The Arizona Photography Alliance, and do contract photography work from Professional Headshots to Artistic Photoshoots and Live Event Photography.
