About Sarab Sethi

I lead the interdisciplinary Ecosystem Sensing research group within Imperial College London’s Department of Life Sciences and I-X, the university’s flagship initiative for AI in Science. We design, prototype, deploy, and validate novel approaches to biodiversity and habitat monitoring using cutting-edge embedded systems, materials, robotics, and AI. Our research spans continents and biomes, delivering impact to conservationists, farmers, policy makers, and many more. I also provide independent strategic and technical consultancy services for organisations across the private, public, and third sectors. My clients have included startups developing innovative sensing systems as well as large multinationals and charities deploying ecological monitoring at scale.
