About Sarah Bahoo

Kia ora, I’m Sarah! I’m a medical student at the University of Auckland, currently completing my Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) having completed 5 years of medical school so far. With my background in medicine, I’ve been able to complement my studies through unique experiences like a fully-funded 6-week internship in Mumbai with Doctors For You, to a 5-week plastic surgery placement with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London as well as various rural placements in Aotearoa. My honours research this year involves exploring optimal delivery methods for topical corticosteroids in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis.Outside of study, I’ve worked as a Resident Advisor in university accommodation, in hospital admin and reception roles, retail, student leadership, and social media. These experiences have taught me valuable skills in communication, leadership, and problem-solving. I enjoy connecting with people, learning through hands-on experience, and embracing new opportunities.I’m keen to connect with others and pursue roles that help me grow both professionally and personally!
