About MeI have over 22 years experience of working in health and social care. I have a keen interest in supported living and complex care.I have developed a passion for supporting others to develop, and providing high quality services. I enjoy using my knowledge, experience and skills to train, support and mentor others to learn and grow. I like a challenge and get great satisfaction from problem solving, I can think outside the box and apply my skills and knowledge in creative ways to ensure excellent service delivery, quality and good staff retention levels.What I can offer I have positive working realtionships with many of the social care team at my local authority; including social workers and commishioners who know me well and the high standards I practice. I have a track record of creating bespoke care and PBS (positive behavior support) plans with an emphasis on activity, structure, inclusion and maintaining a person centred approach. I feel the experience and skills I have gained over 22 years working in the care sector would be put to good use within a new role. I feel I am an effective communicator both verbally and non-verbally. I have a genuine interest in people and enjoy being in direct contact with staff and the people we support. I have an innovative approach and am able to problem solve systematically. I am self-aware, perceptive and able to reflect on aspects of my practice. I am able to work under my own initiative and organise my work load in a manner that is the most effective and produces cost efficient results for the organisation. I am aware of my strengths and limitations both professionally and personally. I enjoy being part of a team and am sociable and supportive of others. I am committed to lifelong learning and my own personal development, as well as the development of the staff working in my team. I am able to travel and am happy to be flexible with my working hours and place of work.
