About Sarah Brooks

My previous job role was as an Employment and Skills Coordinator, with GRCC, working across the Tewkesbury Borough, supporting the economically inactive back into employment, volunteering, education, training, apprenticeships, and more. This job opportunity enabled me to network and connect with external organisations and stakeholders, I facilitated community drop-in sessions and employment workshops, offering 1-1 support to individuals, most in need. Previous to this job role, I was a CALMHS (Community Advice Links in Mental Health Support) Bridge Builder, supporting mild-moderate mental health, and providing 1-1 support for the most vulnerable individuals across Gloucestershire. I gained qualifications in mental health, safeguarding, suicide prevention, and more. In April 2024 the CALMHS team were tupeed to Rethink mental health. During both these job roles, I have had continuous professional and personal development through courses and training. I have immense experience in community engagement, supporting the most vulnerable individuals, building trust, and the ability to effectively network and connect with external organisations.
