About Sarah Bryan

Sarah is a lived experience speaker and mental health professional living on the lands of the Bunurong people. She has worked in a lived experience capacity as a peer worker, group facilitator and consultant in both the mental health and eating disorders sector. Since recovering from an eating disorder, Sarah has been a fierce advocate for changing the way eating disorders and body image challenges are perceived. She has worked alongside numerous eating disorder and body image organisations, nationally and globally, using her lived experience to educate, inspire and inform others. Sarah has appeared in campaigns for SANE Australia, the Butterfly Foundation and Instagram as well as being involved in digital content creation, public speaking events, and print and TV interviews. She is currently working on her first book, a young adult fiction that explores body image, eating disorders and mental illness.
