As the Director of Camp Unalayee I'm extremely pleased to be able to provide leadership to this organization and community which has changed and shaped so many lives. Unalayee was fundamental in my development as a well-rounded, confident, environmentally conscious, and self-motivated adult and human being. I love working and managing at Unalayee because I now have the opportunity to provide the guidance I received as a youth to hundreds of kids and young adults. I'm dedicated to helping Camp Unalayee get kids outside so that each year we can send them home with: ·A sense of respect for themselves and others ·A sense of self and the confidence to stand up for what they believe ·Experiences of challenge and unexpected accomplishment ·The desire to be stewards of wild places ·A deep love of the wilderness ·A sense of self-discovery and responsibility ·The ability to lead both loudly and quietly ·An understanding of their role and importance in a community
