About Sarah Cane

I have 12 years of international experience (UK, Germany and Australia) in renewable energy and major infrastructure projects from feasibility, through environmental planning and approvals, to managing compliance with conditions during the delivery phase. Projects I've worked on include- Several onshore wind projects in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales (feasibility and planning and approvals)- Marinus Link HVDC interconnector in Victoria (planning and approvals)- Star of the South offshore wind farm in Victoria (planning and approvals)- Ostwind 1 and 2 export cables in the Baltic Sea, Germany (managing environmental compliance during delivery). My two keys skills are: 1. Technical proficiency. I'm conversant (sufficient to meaningfully review technical reports and write/review EIS chapters) with most environmental disciplines (e.g, ecology, hydrology, geomorphology, EMF/EMI, aviation, cultural heritage, noise, LVIA etc.) 2. Strong communication with diverse stakeholders. I'm equally as comfortable on-site with the construction team as I am presenting a project to State or Federal government, or getting into the detail with technical consultants.
