About Sarah Coleman

For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my career and education to advancing the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. I believe that communities become stronger, richer, and more vibrant when they are truly inclusive and accessible. My advocacy is grounded in the principles of deinstitutionalization, the dignity of choice and risk, neurodiversity, and the removal of social and attitudinal barriers that limit opportunity and diminish quality of life. My background spans caregiving, supported living, behavior therapy, job coaching, assistive technology, systemic advocacy, and ADA compliance. These experiences have shaped my commitment to championing the inclusion not only of people with disabilities, but also of individuals from diverse, underrepresented, and underserved communities—always guided by the principle of Nothing About Us Without Us. I hold a B.A. in Anthropology, an M.A. in Education with a focus on disability rights in education, and am a Certified ADA Coordinator.
