About Sarah Cottam

Currently work as a Finance & Operations Executive at an IT agency and recently achieved an AAT Level 3 qualification in Accountancy, with AATQB status as a qualified Assistant Accountant. I have responsibility of the day-to-day management of the Finance department including AP/AR duties. This includes managing invoicing for both suppliers and debtors, internal reporting, cashflow forecasting and analysis, managing the Accounts inbox, purchasing responsibilities and more. I also assist with processing data for quarterly tax returns, collating data to be submitted to the payroll bureau and supporting with the monthly management accounts including prepayments and posting journals. As well as financial duties, I manage the operational processes within the business such as office and stock management, welcoming clients to the office and organising events for staff wellbeing/incentives. I strive to deliver my best work possible as I am a hard worker, fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly and have a willingness to learn new things. I am highly enthusiastic and capable of working under pressure to strict targets and deadlines whilst using my own initiative. I have recently completed my AAT Level 3 as an apprenticeship which I am particularly proud of and my goal is to utilise my qualification within my job role and put the theory I have learnt over the last two years into practice.
