About Sarah Cox

As an Executive-level professional, I build effective teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions for complex and sensitive programs impacting Canadians. Working closely with Indigenous organizations and territorial governments, I develop and gain consensus on solutions for the implementation of social issues and policy. I enjoy working with diverse groups as well as mentoring and empowering team members. As Director of Outreach and Liaison (Inuit Relations Secretariat), I received the following 2 Deputy Minister’s Awards for complex and sensitive projects: • Leading a team to develop, negotiate and implement a common funding agreement for all federal departments using the Nunavut community of Pangnirtung as a case study; • Developing and presenting a case for the Government of Canada’s Apology to the Inuit community for the 1950s High Arctic Relocation of Quebec Inuit. I have a very strong network in Canada's North (Arctic) as well as in other federal government departments. A passionate federal public servant, I am determined to reach outcomes that are meaningful in the work that I do for Canadians.
