What would Sarah do?" This was the subject line of an email I received from an employer I worked with; she had a question about how to handle a work comp claim, and that was her first thought. She wanted those words on a t-shirt so she would always remember the advice I gave on employee safety and work injuries. I couldn't think of a better compliment in my professional life. I am passionate about helping employers keep their employees safe. I do this by providing a comprehensive, proactive approach to employee and workplace safety. I can also help manage your workers' compensation claims after they happen, but let's be honest, employee injuries don't have to happen, so let's not go there unless we must. Throughout my career, I have seen most anything, from simple injuries and accidents, to the death of an employee. My ability to remain calm in the chaos, to help walk you through some tough decisions and processes, and to provide insight on best practices makes me a strong asset for you to have in your corner. My job involves people; listening to people, connecting people, and helping people. I enjoy meeting people and hearing their story. It is powerful to connect with people over a common interest. My interest happens to be helping employers provide a safe working environment so they can send their employees home at the end of each day in the same condition they showed up for work. In my personal life, I love to travel with my husband and two kids. Give us a road trip and a new destination and we will have the adventure of a lifetime. Adding pages to our travel journals and stamps to our passports shows a life well-lived. Travel opens your eyes to new people, cultures, experiences; it teaches patience, resilience, empathy, all which are so important in life.
