About Sarah Hamilton

I am currently working as a Medical Coding Specialist. My experience ranges from release of information to Medical Coding. I have taken courses in medical terminology, pharmacology, revenue cycle management, experience with abstracting data from medical records, data analytics and use, etc. ​I am graduate of Ogeechee Technical College with an Associates degree in Health Information Management & Technology. I am RHIT certified I have had experience using various EHR programs. I am familiar with ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, CPT coding as well as completing CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms. I have experience in release of information, working with systems such as Athena, Oracle-Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, and more. I am familiar with CMS coding compliance as well as HIPAA guidelines. ​I graduated in the top 10 percentile of my class with a 3.0 GPA. I have strong leadership skills, task management skills, and the ability to learn quickly. I am skilled in being a self-starter and enjoy working with a team. Some of my strengths come from my work experience, and I have learned that I work well even under pressure. A strong work ethic coupled with the desire to succeed is something I would love to give to your company. I am currently waiting to receive a testing date to take my CCS exam.
