About Sarah Heath

While graduating with the intention of being a full-time teacher, I am also interested in looking for other opportunities within the teaching world. I recognize that the title of being an educator is changing every day. The demands are shifting towards a new focus for this generation of students. With my vast experience within a range of low and high-performing schools, I have observed that teaching and making a difference does not need to occur within the conventional classroom. There are various avenues to take to ensure that every child is not only advocated for but supported from the first day of school to when they receive their diploma. I quote Rita Pierson, a veteran teacher and public speaker, as this statement made a lasting impact on me. “Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.” I believe that every individual needs a cheerleader, and the path I take to become one, I will make sure that I am the best I can be.
