About Sarah Hjertquist

I consider myself a versatile and adaptable worker and always willing to consider new, innovative and exciting ideas or work opportunities. I particularly thrive in creative and support roles where I am able to contribute to the sustainability, planning and/or design of programmes, professional development, support and networking. I am highly flexible in the moment, able to take advantage of teachable moments and learning opportunities that spring up to help embed learning and understanding for those I am supporting. I am efficient in my time- and workload-management in order to self-manage a number of different work portfolios under my current organisation. It is an avid passion of mine to work with children and their families as well as their communities: work which reaps multiple rewards and which I hope to continue working in, into the future. My main current hobbies and interests include walking and tramping, playing squash, Te Reo Māori and (slowly) renovating the house and garden.
