About Sarah Hoff

Sarah Hoff, Ph.D, M.L.S. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in forensic work with extensive experience working in correctional, inpatient, and outpatient settings. She utilizes current research and best practices to perform high-quality clinical and forensic evaluations and deliver clear, effective reports or testimony in County and District Courts as well as in Mental Health Board hearings. Dr. Hoff graduated from the Law-Psychology program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a Ph.D. in Psychology from the APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology Training Program and a Master of Legal Studies from the Nebraska College of Law. She completed her APA-Accredited predoctoral internship at Patton State Hospital, a large forensic hospital in San Bernardino County, California, as well as Patton’s nationally recognized Postdoctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Hoff has presented research at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Hoff is currently a member of the American Psychology-Law Society and the Nebraska Psychological Association. Services Dr. Hoff can offer include evaluations of the following: competency to stand trial, insanity/criminal responsibility, pre-sentencing evaluations, malingering assessment, sex offender risk assessment, violence risk assessment, cognitive assessment, personality assessment, neuropsychological assessment, psychodiagnostic clarification, fitness for duty/return to work, personal injury, and testamentary capacity. She can also conduct trainings on topics related to forensic psychology, malingering, competency/insanity, landmark cases in mental health law, and more.
