About Sarah Insull

I am currently a project manager at Baebies where I leverage my lean manufacturing and product development experience to manage cross-functional teams to meet our high velocity, customer centric goals! Formerly, I was the Continuous Improvement Manager at Precision Concepts (formerly Intrapac). My main focus is lean implementation throughout the plant to improve SQDC metrics. I'm an expert in change management, and am an effective leader and trainer in all things Lean. Before that, I worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at STERIS Endoscopy supporting multiple product lines. Part of my duties included improving processes, implementing and sustaining lean initiatives, designing and building machines for new manufacturing lines, and troubleshooting equipment issues. Outside of my normal role, I lead multiple groups including the year-round co-op program, Sustainability Council, and Women in Engineering group. I previously worked as a Sustaining Engineer and a Development Engineer in New Product Development where I designed medical devices, developed test methods and specifications, and created or updated Design History File documents for FDA compliance. Each of my roles have given me a well-rounded experience and perspective of the entire process of bringing medical devices to market. At The University if Akron, I studied Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Biomechanics.
