Hi! I look forward to connecting with you on LinkedIn. Based in Pittsburgh, I am strongly passionate about mental health and suicide prevention. I am looking to make a career change and am excited to seek new opportunities to work more directly with areas that focus on helping individuals: mental health advocacy, suicide prevention, grief and bereavement support, recovery services and the like. I have 18 years of experience in the health insurance industry. I worked in various roles throughout my time, including customer service support, with the last 10 years as supervisor in a business operations area. During this time, I have gained valuable experience in team management, collaborating, leadership, planning, effective communication, and problem solving. As a survivor of suicide loss, I am looking to bring my lived experiences into a role where they can be put to use. I have a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of individuals who struggle with mental illness. In my advocacy, I have focused on raising awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. I have a strong desire to do more and to help more. My goal is to use my current experience, skills, and knowledge to make a positive impact in the community, while also looking for opportunities for further education or certifications/licensing. I am interested in collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations in the mental health or suicide prevention field.
