About Sarah Nelson

My name is Sarah and I am a mother of two, military spouse, medical assistant, and first generation college student. I am currently working on my B.S. in Public Health with a concentration in Health Professions. Previously I attempted a degree as an RN, but God had other plans. My passion is serving others and caring for others at my highest capacity. I want to use my degree to make a difference in the world and as many lives as I possibly can. There is always someone needing a voice, a hand up, a listening ear, or even a shoulder to cry on. I want to be that person for anyone who needs me. My favorite thing about working with patients is allowing them to know that I genuinely care about their well being and will do everything in my power to ensure they are taken care of. I bring years of a variety of experience to the table, so in that sense it has made me a well rounded person with a ton of big ideas/viewpoints. I am searching for a career opportunity that will fulfill my desire and passion for serving others, as well as secure a bright future for my family. As a first generation college student, I want my children to know that it is never to late to change your story. I not only have the book smarts to carry me along this journey, but I also have the heart and grit to back it up.
