About Sarah Norris

My goal as a technical communicator is to translate complicated configuration, troubleshooting, and product information into a usable, functional piece of documentation. I would describe my writing as precise, straightforward and actionable - blame my years of training in journalism. I produce documents that tell readers and users where to go, what to do and how to do it. My background as a science writer, as well as a life-long love of science and technology make me able to speak both "engineering" and "product" fluently. As a technical writer for SuccessFactors, I created a new type of documentation for the company, which culminated with the publication of a comprehensive guide to SF's Recruiting Management product. This document was the first of its kind within the company, and spawned a company-wide initiative to create similar documents for all SuccessFactors's products. With the SAP SuccessFactors Knowledge Management team, I also serve as project manager, coordinating deadlines and best practices with writers in India, Germany, and the US. I've helped improve our Release Information publication process for customers, interviewed customers about how to make our documentation better, and mentored new writers. If you'd like to find out more about my work with SAP SuccessFactors, drop me a line!
