About Sarah Plummer

I graduated in with a first class degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering. I worked at Edinburgh University from to 2002 as Assistant Energy Manager within the Estates and Buildings Department. Core skills included database management, analysing data, project management. From there I went to work for Scottish Power from 2002 to 2008 as Project Engineer as part of the Energy Efficiency Commitment Team. Core skills included: database management and development, Customer relationship management and coordinating contractors throughout the UK. I have had a career break to raise my two children but I couldn't just sit still so in 2013 I started my own business - a children's soft play centre. Employing around 20 people. This has given me business experience as an employer and as an operational manager. I also took on a payroll bureau service and ran payroll for 21 companies. I sold the companies in 2018. I worked as Pay and Bill Team Leader at Mazars from 2018 to 2020 before returning to the energy sector as operations manager for Home Energy Scotland south east. I now work as Operations and Welfare Manager for Bravehound, a charity that trains and supplies assistant dogs to veterans suffering from PTSD and other mental health challenges.
