About Sarah Russo

How is a raven like a writing desk? Some people believe they know the answer. And some people believe there is no answer. I believe story-telling deals with the same conundrum. Some believe it can be taught, others believe it can’t. Story Telling is my weapon of choice. I graduated with a Public and Digital Communications degree from the University of Waterloo. During my time there, I fell in love with the idea of story-telling; the ability to take a topic, a person, or a company and tell a story through visual marketing, copywriting, social media etc. During my spare time, I am the owner and content curator of the blog: wednesdaysclouds.com. This is my little space on the internet where I share my own personal stories; heavily influenced by Disney, the 90’s, Halloween, horror and pop culture in general. My blog, along with my various social media accounts has led me to many exciting opportunities like published works on Thought Catalog and Elite Daily, and even working with Disney. In my professional career, I have made many 'happily ever afters'. While taking on such roles as: Marketing and Social Media Manager, Head of Research and Development, Editor, and Social Media Marketer- I have had the pleasure of telling all kinds of company stories. These roles have introduced me to many other weapons like Wordpress, HTML, copywrite, graphic art and social media promotion. With my extensive experience in Digital Marketing and my passion for writing, I am always in constant search for a new ‘Once Upon a time’. My current story? I am the Marketing Manager for Cakeworthy Inc; an international lifestyle fashion brand influenced by bright colours, and pop culture. This dream come true role has allowed me to work with some of my favourite brands like Disney, Nickelodeon, Universal and more.
