About Sarah Schmidt

I started my career in the mortgage industry 13 years ago and haven’t looked back. I have held many roles within the this industry, most recently Head of Partner Success at Academy Mortgage Corp. I have also had the pleasure of being a Mortgage Loan Originator, Loan Officer Trainer, and Instructional Designer. Currently, I work as a Technical Project Manager at Dark Matter Technologies. I have a passion for executing difficult company initiatives, whether it be process improvements, program creation, products/services or all around company growth. I consider myself a lifelong learner and take great pleasure in exceeding expectations. I love connecting and networking with likeminded individuals. I accomplished my undergraduate degree at the University of Utah, where I duel majored in Broadcast Journalism and New Media. While at the “U,” I was on the women’s Water Polo team. More recently, I completed a Masters Degree from Utah State University in Instructional Technology and Learning Science (ITLS). In addition, I have my Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate, from the Project Management Institute.
