About Sarah Smith-Sergeant

I am a MSc Pychology graduate; certified yoga therapist for children and young people (approved by the British Psychological Society); certified yoga teacher, specialising in perinatal wellbeing; secondary school teacher and outdoor education instructor. Having spent over two decades as an educator, I am committed to supporting and improving mental health and wellbeing in my current role as Associate Psychological Practitioner (APP) with the NHS and supporting children and young people through trauma informed psychoeducation, yoga therapy and yoga. I hold space for perinatal people to breathe, move, and connect with themselves and their children with kindness and compassion and provide education about birthing, postpartum recovery and matrescence. My research interests include the experiences of people who have birthed twins, triplets or higher order multiples, and hope to raise awareness of the differences, challenges and support needed for parents of multiples.
