About Sarah Temple-Smith

I have recently been promoted to London and Regional manager of the My View, the young people and children's therapy project at the Refugee Council and children's therapist trained using Play Therapy. I am also a qualified Clinical Supervisor and clinically supervise therapists in our therapeutic unit as well as having a private practice. As a manager I have four therapists in my team. I work integratively, drawing on different creative modalities including Play Therapy in order to deliver a culturally competent service, working with interpreters where needed. As part of my responsibilities I offer professional trainings, both in London and elsewhere and speak on behalf of my project at events. I write articles and have been interviewed on my work with separated child refugees for the Welcome Trust, the Morning Star and the Guardian. I have appeared on BBC World, and I was recently interviewed by the astronaut Tim Peake for his |Radio 4 programme Homesick Planet ( available on BBC Sounds) I write regular blogs of my work with the project which are published on the Refugee Council website along with my photos
