About Sarah Theis

It was my love of math that drew me to insurance. I enjoy little more than understanding the complexities of a problem and working out a solution. My role as Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Sammons gives me ample opportunity to work hands-on with an idea from its inception through all the related phases. I get to see an opportunity in the early stages, be a part of the evaluation and strategizing, then participate with the team tasked with its ultimate execution. It’s a rewarding way to work, and it calls for me to wear many hats. I keep an eye on: • compliance: staying aware of what’s coming in the industry to balance innovation with regulation • management: empowering teams to to take action and share in success • data analytics: when properly understood, numbers provide tremendous industry insights and direction Away from work, I enjoy visiting unique places around the world. There are lots of stamps on my passport! My experiences abroad teach me how to take in a lot of information quickly from my surroundings—and how to successfully navigate the unfamiliar. It all comes back to problem solving. Specialties include: business development | sales management | business intelligence
