About Sarah Waurechen
I'm a compulsive communicator, a dedicated pedagogue, and a genuinely curious mind. My background is in post-secondary education, research, and conference administration, and I am passionate about teaching CEGEP here in Montreal. A historian of seventeenth-century Britain by trade, I have researched and written about print culture, the public sphere, politics and religion. My wide-ranging interest in social structures and social identities leaves its mark on everything I do - from the blog I maintain (PhDs and Pedagogy: A Teaching Resource for Higher Education), to my attempt to bring together intellectuals who work outside the academy in Montreal, to my Humanities courses on gendered world views and media ethics. I am dedicated to my work within the classroom, but I also want to keep learning outside of that space and to facilitate interesting conversations both online and in person.
