I have a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). I am currently employed as a project officer at IITM for developing optical techniques for sensing trace gases from human breath and a polarisation-sensitive OCT to study the skin damage due to necrosis. My foremost research interest is in developing optical-based techniques to identify breath biomarkers in human exhaled breath. Breath contains much more interesting information that correlates with the metabolic and pathological conditions. Optical methods can be used as a non-invasive diagnostic tool for health monitoring.
