About Sascha Gerhards

As a Learning and Development Specialist with over 15 years of experience in higher education, I am passionate about designing and delivering engaging and effective learning solutions that meet the needs of diverse learners and organizations. I have a PhD in German Cultural Studies and a graduate minor in Critical Theory from the University of California, Davis, and I am proficient in English and German as foreign languages. In addition to my current role, I also work as a German Interpreter at Affordable Language Services since March 2023, where I provide accurate and timely interpretation services for various clients and industries. I have extensive knowledge and experience in German culture, business, and film studies, and I have published multiple articles and book chapters in renowned scholarly journals and publishers in the field. I am an outgoing, ambitious, and assertive person, with a strong problem-solving and analytical mindset, and a meticulous attention to detail when working independently and in a team.
