About Sascha Just

More than 10 years in scientific sales | Company representation, strategic business growth, project execution, and consultative product sales—from the first customer interaction to successful completion. As a scientifically minded person, studying De Rerum Natura felt like a natural path for me. The fascinating complexity of life sparked my curiosity, leading me to choose life sciences over physics. Building on my studies in molecular biology, with a focus on cell biology and genetics, I started my Ph.D. in the field of membrane-bound receptors, specifically investigating drug-induced internalization of the µ-opioid receptor. During this time, I was also involved in establishing our new institute, experiencing firsthand the exciting dynamics of growing labs and teams. I enjoyed setting up new scientific equipment and training colleagues and students in its use. Subsequently, I transitioned into sales for scientific products requiring expert consulting. My academic background and research experience enable me to understand my customers' needs, quickly assess complex situations, and—through collaboration with other experts—finding tailored solutions. Currently, I serve as the primary internal and external contact for the Life Sciences division at HORIBA in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. I'm part of a global company network and my success is built on a combination of personal dedication, teamwork, and authentic communication with my customers. While rationality defines my professional life, I also embrace spirituality in my private sphere. I find balance in nature, philosophical conversations, and by exploring both the old and the new.
