About Sascha Meyer

I am a mechanical engineer (BEng) with experience in the aerospace, nutraceutical, and offshore marine industries. I am determined to steer my career in a direction that allows me combine my passions and my work. In my progression at Isar Aerospace I have contributed directly to the development of our Spectrum Launch Vehicle from both the design and AIT (Assembly Integration and Test) perspectives. I hold South African and German citizenships, and can speak and write the English, German, and Afrikaans languages. I am skilled in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Design For Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, Design for Operations, Machine Design, the English language, and Written Communication. I have accumulated substantial hands-on experience working on machines which required a fundamental understanding of their design, and careful setup. Some examples are: the design and AIT of the fluid system onboard the orbital launch vehicle Spectrum at Isar Aerospace SE, including cryogenic fluid couplings, the development of an automated hard-shell capsule processing machine at ComboCap Inc, the assembly and mechanical testing of SATCOM antenna hardware at Cobham Aerospace Communications, and privately, the complete frame-off restoration of a 1946 Willys Jeep.
