I am currently working as a Mental Health Billing Specialist and the Credentialing Coordinator for a private ADHD clinic with 4 locations in Oregon. I primarily look over & take care of the patients accounts, claims/claims submission. I verify & update insurance for our patients, also follow up on current & past claims. As well as any billing issues that need additional research.We create spreadsheets for our front desk staff with our scheduled appointments for each day & what balance is owed. Following up with aging reports for all open claims. Submitting authorizations for our oregon health plan patients for assessments, therapy & medication management. Collections process/services for unpaid accounts. My credentialing tasks include license verification, NPI verification, Commercial and Medicaid credentialing, malpractice insurance, CAQH profiles. With my tasks I make sure that providers have their credentialing applications completed as well as obtaining all the required documents including 5 years of malpractice insurance. Also checking and making sure their CAQH profiles are up to date and match their credentialing applications.
