About Sasha Galitzki

I like getting out and doing things much more than I like writing about myself, so here are a few fun facts about me: 1) Yup, I’m an acrobat! I love the challenge and beauty of aerial arts and particularly enjoy bringing this art form outdoors, as a way to connect with nature and draw attention to beautiful - but often fragile - mountain environments. I love nothing more than pulling together wild & improbable aerial adventures – I’ve performed in blizzards, over alpine lakes, and even in glacial ice caves. 2) For my day job, I'm a finance executive in the natural foods industry. I love this industry because I get to be a part of connecting food and people to support sustainable and accessible community-based food systems. 3) I'm also a budding filmmaker. My first film, Wild Aerial, has screened at over 20 prestigious film festivals around the world and is still going! My second film, Embers, will have its World Premiere at the 2025 Banff Mountain Film Festival. Check out @wildaerial or for the latest updates on both films. 4) I’m a triple citizen (Canada/US/UK) and a former Fulbright Scholar to Bulgaria. 5) I’m the founder and owner of Cirque Aurora, through which I get to share the wonder & spectacle of circus arts with communities of the Canadian Rockies. 6) I have a Bachelor’s in economics and an MBA, and am a head-over-heels excel nerd. I heart pivot tables. 7) I'm based in western Canada, where I’m happily surrounded by mountains all day every day. A lifelong outdoorswoman, I am an avid mountaineer, skier, paddler, and climber. I set the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for climbing the thirty-two peaks of Waterton National Park, ski patrolled for seven years, and have rafted the Grand Canyon twice.
