About Sasha Ledwin

As an Associate Scientist I in preclinical research, I bring a strong foundation in genetics and molecular biology with hands-on experience supporting early-stage drug development. My current role allows me to contribute to translational research efforts, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to generate high-quality, data-driven insights. In addition to my work in the lab, I serve as a Genetic Counseling Assistant intern, where I support patients and healthcare providers by gathering and organizing family history information, coordinating genetic testing, and enhancing communication between clinical teams. This experience has deepened my interest in the intersection of science, healthcare, and patient advocacy. In August 2025, I will be beginning graduate studies in Genetic Counseling—a long-term goal that combines my passion for genetics with a commitment to compassionate, personalized patient care. I am excited to grow in this evolving field and contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes and health equity.
