About Sasha Stevens

I've been working in the newspaper industry since July of I started out as a telemarketer with Freedom Newspapers and shortly thereafter moved to the Circulation Department. I worked in Circulation customer service, dispatch and carrier billing. When we were bought by Scripps in I continued to work within Circulation as a Customer Service Rep. I then moved to the Advertising Department and worked in the Ad Order Entry and layout of our 5 main publications. An opportunity arose in the IT department to be the Systems Admin/Analyst for the DTI Circulation System and started my career in IT. I've been in the IT Department since 2007 and I love this field of work. In 2015, Scripps Newspapers was sold to Journal Media Group in Milwaukee in 2015 and in 2017 we were bought by Gannett. Through the company acquisitions, recession and layoffs, I stayed and was committed to my job. I've always worked well with others and some co-workers and managers turned into very close friends, almost family. I started out in college wanting to be a dental hygienist and worked for the paper as a telemarketer to get me by. It's funny where life can take you sometimes. I am dedicated to my job and it has allowed me to spend time with my family which is very important to me. I learn fast and well and am up for new challenges always.
