About Satheesh Krishnamoorthy

I hold an MD in Pharmacology, an M.Med in Family Medicine, and a Ph.D. in Basic Medical Science. I have also undergone specialized training in Clinical Trials, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Public Health Aspects of Diabetes mellitus from various prestigious institutions, including the University of Cambridge. I have conducted several multicentric studies, from conceptualization to publication, and have published over 30 articles and chapters in indexed journals and reviewed more than ten articles for the indexed journals. I have been recognized as a reviewer of InSc International Publishing Platforms and for technical events under the basic and medical sciences stream. I have collaborated with several foreign universities, including Clinical Diabetes and Epidemiology and Baker IDI. Heart, Diabetes Institute in Melbourne, Australia, Amsterdam University, Cambridge University, and Imperial College London, for various data analysis projects. I am an Associate Professor and Senior Research Scientist at the India Diabetes Research Foundation & Dr. A. Ramachandran's Diabetes Hospitals in Chennai. I have conducted epidemiology surveys in various parts of Tamil Nadu and have been a Co-Investigator in several Phase IV clinical trials conducted by multiple pharmaceutical companies. I have also created electronic health records for our research studies. I have been a core member in the creation and execution of India's first digital diabetes platform, Diahome. This platform provides digital treatment for diabetes patients across India. My primary areas of interest include epidemiology, primary prevention, Diabetes, and digital health. I have collaborated with WHO and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India, on a digital health program for Diabetes. I received the International Excellence Award 2024 in Research & Development for Research-Based Writing from The Federation of Indian Publishers, affiliated with the International Publishers Association, Geneva, in June 2024. I was nominated for the 2024 Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Prize in June 2024 and awarded the Indian Icon Awards 2024 in Excellence in Research by Kiteskraft Production LLP in June 2024. I received the Excellence in Clinical Research in Diabetes in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, award by TWELL Magazine and India Medical Awards for 2024. I achieved an exceptional performance with an O Grade in the ICME – DHR Certificate Programme for Good Clinical Practice by ICMR, DHR, and SRM in November 2023.
