Business Leadership: Experience in new company formation recruitment and management of board members scientific advisory board and technical staff. Experience in developing budgets and strategies to raise required capital from all potential sources. Oversee cash flow accounting practices and audit reports. Experience in business development activities to present the company’s vision goals and achievements to potential customers and investors internally and at conferences (BIO JPM Biotech Show Case BIO Japan etc.). Scientific Leadership: Drive cross-functional integration of research and development activities working closely with biologists medicinal chemists and contract research organizations to further develop lead candidates towards SAR development candidate selection and IND enablement studies. Strategic Planning: Serve as an internal innovation team member providing scientific strategic and logistical support in generating novel therapeutic programs that incubate new venture creation. Three startups have been successfully incorporated. Evaluate and adapt the drug discovery pipeline in close consultation with scientific advisors and members of the SAB to meet the needs of a rapidly changing scientific landscape. Define scientific strategy for the pipeline of projects stay abreast of trends and developments in the field and establish a scientific framework to engage advisors and consultants in discussions to determine the final target list. Project Management: Plan direct and manage the work of a multidisciplinary discovery team of scientists (BS MS and Ph.D.) – medicinal chemists discovery scientists and assay specialists to lead small molecule discovery efforts of hit-to-lead validation and candidate selection. Provide project leadership on multiple projects in creating and managing intellectual property. Led and oversaw the research and development activities tracking progress on several programs at the discovery and development stages.
