I am Sathwik Panicker, currently pursuing my MBA at IIM Rohtak, where I’m blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiences to craft a unique professional journey. My academic voyage started with a BBA at the same institution, grounding me in business fundamentals and sparking a fascination for problem-solving and strategic thinking. During my stint as a Summer Intern at Apollo Tyres, I embraced the challenge of reducing tyre building scrap, employing lean methodologies, X-charts, R-charts, and fishbone analyses. My recommendations, rooted in the DMAIC framework, proposed semi-automation solutions that could redefine operational efficiency. At the Amrita School of Medicine, I ventured into the healthcare sector, analyzing income generation programs for filarial patients. This role honed my ability to intertwine empathy with analytical rigor, delivering insights that were both impactful and sustainable. My journey also includes impactful live projects, from optimizing Shopify sales channels at MasterChow Pvt Ltd. to leading sales and business development initiatives at Metvy Learn, where I earned the title of ‘Star Intern’ twice and was selected for the Metvy Young Leaders Programme. Beyond internships and projects, I’ve donned leadership hats—as the Junior Co-ordinator for the Industry Relations and Interaction Cell at IIM Rohtak, fostering industry-academia engagement, and as the Senior Head Boy at Bhavans Varuna, where I championed student interests and community spirit. Accolades? A few highlights include being a national finalist in Reliance’s ‘The Ultimate Pitch,’ clinching top spots in analytics and operations case competitions across premier institutes, and earning certifications like the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Google’s Data Analytics credentials. But it’s not all numbers and strategies. I’ve also crafted content for ‘Road to IPM,’ developed a YouTube series for IPMAT aspirants, and continuously seek avenues to merge creativity with analytics.
