Satwik!” yelled Ralph while I was engrossed in solving a DECA Case as two waffles burnt on the stove. I love solving problems. Sometimes, I am so engrossed that I tune out things around me. It sounds unnatural, but it’s true. They can come in any form. I will persevere to solve a problem, improve efficiency, and optimize operations. Sometimes I get a bit carried away. But, my flow, when in the zone, is also one of my best assets. Professionally, I aspire to become a Strategy Consultant I am a 2nd year student at Rotman Commerce but already clear on my career direction. I already gained some experience working at Olam- a Singaporean agricultural firm. I collaborated with various departments to understand the inefficiencies in their operations. I devised solutions. The contemplative struggle was gratifying as I stayed calm when faced with adversity. When it came my way, I would see myself thinking and quickly incorporating new insights into my solutions Currently, I pursue my passion as a consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting. When helping clients, I envision myself standing in the middle of a huddle made up of different stakeholders. I try to understand their problems. Then, I narrate a strategy that makes sense to all concerned In solving other peoples’ problems, I get an opportunity to reflect and focus on my own growth. I constantly strive to educate and refine myself to be a better person. I have a growth mindset, taste for learning, and ability to rise above challenges that come my way. I know that each challenge I take on, will leave me with a new set of experiences and insight to use in tackling the next one. Currently, I am doing a deep dive into Python and Excel. When I am not doing that, I am biking or exploring a new cuisine.
