About Satya M.

I’m a researcher turned data scientist. My path to data science was non-linear—in my previous role, I gained exposure to the data lifecycle, from designing surveys and collecting data to translating complex health findings into clear insights. Working as a B2B communications intern at IDeaS, a SAS company, I saw firsthand how analytics drive business strategies across industries. For my senior honors thesis, I cleaned and analyzed complex survey data using R, built logistic regression models, and presented my findings at NCSU's undergraduate research symposium. Now pursuing my M.S in Analytics, I'm shifting from working in the periphery to the core of data science. I am building my analytical toolkit by gaining skills in SQL, Python, and advanced statistical methods. When I'm not coding, you'll find me outdoors, either hiking on a new trail or taking care of my plants.
