About Saul Chavez

I am a Latinx student from Peru. When I was sixteen years old I decided I wanted to leave home and study abroad, which became true when I was sixteen thanks to my work and the support of my family. My entire life I have been amazed by the mysteries of life. To me, living organisms, especially the human body, are the most advanced feat of engineering there is, and there is nothing that piques my interest more. I believe that I can satiate my hunger for knowledge about living things and help other people by following a path in the medical field. Troughout my education path I have always excelled in STEM related courses. I did very well in my other classes as well, but with sciences and math I always feel pationate to learn more and perform. This paired with my passion for service and helping other people has allowed me to received awards such as the Nelson Lebo Science Award from Proctor Academy. Aditionally I am very passionate about learning new languages. Currently I speak Spanish, English, German and Mandarin. My passion is paired up with a natural gift to learn subjects fast. I was able to complete the four year Mandarin program of my highschool in under 2 years, for which I was awarded the Excellence in Mandarin Award.
