I've around 30 yrs of exp in corporate law, general laws, company secretarial, compliance & CIRP/IBC/NCLT matters. My office is in Hyatt Regency Kolkata Hotel & am employed as Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary in Asian Hotels (East) Ltd, a BSE & NSE listed co & part of M/s Saraf Hotels Enterprise which owns fifteen 5-star hotels in India, Nepal & mostly managed by Hyatt Hotels Corpn, USA. My current role- Handling CIRP/IBC matters, advance company/corporate laws, contract management, drafting, vetting loan docs, other legal docs, notices, replies, legal due diligence, CIRP resolution plans, litigation management, hotel licences, approvals, liaise with Govt Depts, police stations, ministers including CMs, dealing with advocates, law firms, sr counsels, attending conferences, court matters, RFP, RFQ, tender/bid docs & IBC/NCLT resolution plan submission/bidding matters. Land lease matters with the State Govts. Commercial acquisitions. Also looking after company secretarial works including conducting board, committee meetings, AGMs, e-votings, compliance with listing regulations, SEBI laws, companies acts & allied rules, merger, demerger, restructuring work & investors relations, CIRP/IBC/NCLT matters & deal making, drafting share purchase agreements plus other complex docs. IPO/issue work. Acquisition of heath insurance co through IRDAI compliance. Apart from hotel industry, I also worked in manufacturing, oil & gas, media industries.
