Background
About Savannah Boles
Hello, my name is Savannah, and I am an experienced Intensive Care Registered Nurse. My nursing journey began in 2019 in St. Louis, MO, where I worked as a staff nurse technician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit. During this time, I developed a strong passion for intensive care nursing. In 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College and was promptly offered a position as an intensive care staff nurse at Lutheran Medical Center's Neurological Intensive Care Unit in Wheat Ridge, CO in June of 2020. I continued my work at Lutheran Medical Center, gaining valuable experience in the titration of life-saving medications, managing and monitoring advanced healthcare technologies, and conducting comprehensive nursing assessments. My dedication to critical care has only deepened as my expertise has grown. In September of 2022, I expanded my professional experience by joining Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in the Bone Marrow Transplant Intensive Care, where I would administer chemotherapy, participate in research of Stem Cell Transplant patients, and increased oncological knowledge. This role has further diversified my expertise of critical care by specifically aiding the patient populations affected by bone marrow transplants and oncological emergencies. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I have taken part in research at my hospital and am a member of the hospital's Professional Practice Council, fostering interprofessional collaboration. I have also held the chair position on my unit's council and currently serve as a preceptor, educating and guiding new intensive care nurses.
