My mother recently asked,"Why didn't you spend any time researching all the different possible majors before you started college?". I quickly and confidently replied,"I have always known Animal Science was the perfect path for me.I have neversecond-guessed that choice."I have had a lifelong unwavering interest in the behavior and care of animals. Obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science is proof of my dedication to our small furry, and sometimes scaly, companions. In addition to earning a fear-free shelter certification, my education at Texas Tech afforded me experience in canine training, including scent detection and basic obedience. My favorite courses were those which focused on shelter management and exotic/small animal husbandry.1 have extensiveexperience in the training of balance and mobility service canines and appreciate the patience, structure, and rigor that is required to hone their specialized skill set. I have a curiosity for our furry,and sometimes scaly,companions.
