About Savannah Wallace

While at the U.S. Department of Education, my focus on stakeholder engagement and strategic communications was critical to advancing bilateral partnerships with governments and authorities in the Asia-Pacific. I led APEC-funded projects for educators in the Pacific Rim, advocated for policies supporting the acquisition of global and cultural competencies like second language learning and international teacher exchanges, and managed high-profile events like International Education Week, furthering the Department's capacity to promote the global competitiveness of U.S. students. I also have extensive experience providing guidance to high-level officials, writing briefing documents and long-form publications, conducting qualitative research, and mentoring interns and students. I am an inquisitive, future-oriented thinker. My experiences abroad changed my perspective on what I thought I could accomplish with my life and motivated me to pursue work in the international education space. I care about expanding access to international opportunities so that others may better understand history, societies, and themselves.
