About Savy Rani

Savy is a proactive and passionate business graduate who has been working in student services for over four years, especially in post-secondary institutions with students from different cultures. Currently, she is working as an Academic Advisor at University Canada West. She loves to develop ownership and responsibilities in student for their academic decisions by fostering self-awareness and understanding of services that are available. She has worked in several other post-secondary institutions in student facing roles. She holds a adept understanding of Canadian post-secondary education policy and procedure. Also, she has strong skills in student program development, training and supervising students, facilitating workshops, event management, and cross-campus collaborations. She has been an active volunteer for over 11 years and has been participating majorly in events organization and management. She has been a student Board of Member in Langara College where she voiced and represented Langara students for one year. She has been actively working and helping international students by guiding students on Canadian culture, academics, work ethics, job search, resume writing using her knowledge and experience. People management, effective communication, quick learner, adaptability, and conflict resolution are her strongest assets. She adheres to the notion that we should always aspire to have a positive impact.
