I am passionate about the next generation of agriculturalists and have a strong desire to help guide them in their future endeavors. Growing up on my family’s wheat and alfalfa farm in Southeast Idaho, allowed me to develop an admiration and love for the ag industry. My summers were spent in the hot sun learning the value of a hard day’s work. From driving a tractor, to moving pipe, or changing water and any random farm job in between - I hold a deep appreciation for the agricultural lifestyle. While in high school, I started my own small hay bale business through the FFA as a Supervised Agricultural Experience. I named the business Cleo’s Cuttings and it has been in operation for 9 years. I have been able to gain customer service skills, marketing techniques and overall hay production knowledge. The revenue generated from Cleo’s Cuttings has been able to pay for my undergraduate degree at Utah State. As a first-generation college student, I don’t take for granted the chance I have to be gaining an education. Above all else, I strive to connect those around me with the agricultural industry and aid them in understanding the vital role it plays in society.
