About Sayed Mohammad Nazim Uddin
I am currently a Distinguished Researcher at IMDEA Water Institute, Spain and Founding Director of the Center for Climate Change and Environmental Health (3CEH) at AUW. Additionally, I am a Visiting Research Associate in the Community-based Research Laboratory in the Department of Geography at the University of Victoria (UVic), Canada. My research focuses on water security, climate change, humanitarian engineering, biodiversity, waste, sanitation, environmental and planetary health in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and Latin America. These projects were funded by various donor agencies and research institutions such as the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; the Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives, University of Victoria; European Commission, The American National Red Cross, United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (USA); Oxfam-GB/UNHCR, the University of West of England and AUW. I have education and training in environmental science, environmental engineering, water resources management, citizen science, geology, hydrology, environmental studies, waste management, and geography. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching, training, community-based research, and project implementation worldwide.
