CAREER OBJECTIVE: CORPORATE SOLICITOR I am a goal-driven and creative self-starter, proven to thrive in team-based environments and reach the highest level of achievement in every undertaking. With each day that I work within one of the most competitive American law firms, I grow ever more ambitious, motivated and determined to secure a training contract and become an exceptional corporate solicitor. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I explored a plethora of careers including Investor Relations and Marketing. Upon considered reflection, law interests me the most and is a perfect fit for my unique combination of interpersonal, innovative, commercial, and analytical skillsets. All subsequent career moves have been guided by my ambition to become a corporate solicitor. One month after the completion of my undergraduate BA Philosophy degree, I began working as a Compliance Assistant at the leading Southwest law firm Ashfords LLP. Encouraged by my enjoyment of this early legal exposure, I went on to self-fund the PGDL at BPP’s Waterloo campus between September 2021 and May 2022. Just a week after the end of the PGDL course and eager to put what I had learnt into practice, I started working as a paralegal in Simpson Thacher & Bartlett’s Funds Transfers team. This distinctive paralegal role affords me the unprecedented responsibility of managing my own secondary Limited Partner transfers. Working at Simpson Thacher continues to inspire my interest in law.
