About Schuyler Cross

I’ve always admired athletes and believed the body is the best machine, so I chose Biomedical Engineering as a major. In our classes we learned the process of creating medical devices, the biology and chemistry of different organ systems, as well as the mechanics and physics of the body. These concepts along with developing models through computer programming has given me a well rounded view of how the body functions. I feel this holistic and diverse mindset will help me in my ultimate goal of going to medical school and going into sports medicine or orthopedic surgery. I can offer a different perspective that may not already be there. I am currently taking a gap year before applying to medical schools and would be interested in serving as a medical assistant to gain clinical experience.
